Background: here

Personality: The main thing that you need to know about Audrey is that she really loves trees. Like, a lot. She was willing to marry the man who brought her a tree on the spot. (Though Ted doesn’t get marriage, he does get a kiss on the cheek, which is acceptable for teenagers.) She’s apparently the first person in many years who even cares about trees, let alone actually wishes to see a real one. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and even though she isn’t the protagonist in the film, she is the definite catalyst for the story.

She is also a rather gifted artist, and buys buckets of paint at a time to decorate her favorite canvas: her own house. If you want to get at Audrey, you get at her through her paintings. She tells Ted of her dreams of trees when he asks about her mural. When O’Hare wants to punish her for daring to talk about trees, he has his men paint over her mural; she is visibly distraught by it.

Audrey also has a bit of a rebellious streak. While the rest of the town is happy with their plastic utopia, Audrey dreams of another, more natural world. When the most powerful man in town casts doubt on a tree’s ability to produce air, she’s right up in his face about photosynthesis. Even when the entirety of Thneedville is against her, determined to destroy what she is determined to create, she stands her ground and doesn’t run away. The other kids in Thneedville are content with their “bell bottoms” and “Donkey Kongs,” as the Once-ler so aptly put it; Audrey and Ted want to-- and eventually do-- change the world.

But, mostly, Audrey is just your average, though spirited, teenage girl. She’s genuine and kind in her friendship with Ted, even though he is much younger than her, and seems to respect his feelings for her even if he doesn’t entirely act on them. (After all, it’s quite obvious that she understands why Ted’s balls and model airplanes keep landing in her backyard.) She can be a bit... spacey at times, almost getting hit by a bulldozer once because she wasn’t paying attention. In everything she does, she is enthusiastic, whether painting trees or talking about trees or planting trees. She’ll often get caught up in her own enthusiasm and react physically to others, lifting them up and spinning them around if they’re smaller, holding onto them if they’re bigger.

Wish: That truffula trees be returned to her world. Trees are the most important things in the world to Audrey; she's somewhat obsessed with them, despite never having seen one herself. Though her main goal is to have a tree of her very own, she would make sure to wish for trees in general, so that her whole town could enjoy their beauty and gifts. The thought of freeing Thneedville from O'Hare's rule would be too tempting to pass up.

Her wish would be, simply, this: "To bring the trees back."

Passive ability: Flight. Like a "leaf on the wind." Literally on a giant leaf of varying species. Can carry one other person. I'm going to cry if I have to think about this for even a single second more.

Active ability: The ability to physically manipulate plant matter, though not create nor modify. Though her main focus is on trees, Audrey has a fondness for all plant life, including flowers.

Weapon: A poleaxe
